just a little something i was thinking about when i said i would accept "anything" for while i was doing commissions. really... i want to try and draw everything possible at least once xD regardless of what i draw, something new will be learned and my skill will improve. the more different things that are tried, the better artist one becomes =O
its also a lot more fun than doing the same subjects over and over x3 i really dont understand the people who NEVER try anything new with their drawing xD why put limits on what you do?? i think some people are afraid to step out of their comfort zone. that is really too bad =O i refuse to be one of those artists. feel free to use :3 |

I think a person who wants to be a real artist must try to draw everything. Humans, animals, big robots, landscapes. You don't have to like it - but I think you have to try.
And I don't trust 'artists' who say they've achieved everything. There's always room for improvement. Saying there's nothing more to improve is stopping the attempts to progress and that is, well, a bad thing.

But yeah...slight joking aside, it is nice to be able to draw a large number of things. Which is why I'm practicing drawing people and backgrounds a little more now (which reminds me...I need to come up with a character sheet for my vampire boy, Tobias...). I'll move on to other subjects when I get better at those. There's no way an artist of any kind can achieve everything, like Nerri said.

It's kinda sad when you see those kind of artists, especially when they do good work. It's always the same rehashed stuff after awhile, but done well. It's like, I wanna see something totally different!
I hope to not fall into that trap and not realize it. I'd say you are doing a good job keeping out of it!
