sketch commission for 8O she wanted our Utopia RP Derek and Sync together :3 cause they are seriously the heart of the RP xD it is a long RP @_@ we started in February and ((i am NOT exaggerating here)) the length of scripts and logs comes out to hundreds of thousands of words ((not including journals, e-mails, texts, etc that come with it being a modern AU LJ roleplay)). on top of that, the story is far from over with several very important characters and plot developments in the making. its multifandom alternate-universe, and i quite love it the best RP story ive done yet. i dont know where to begin with a synopsis, though xD well... basically... there is a secret island called Utopia where people are brought to help fix their medical ailments. however, the people in charge are basically evil socialists 8D and run the island in pretty messed-up ways ((though their methods are hidden from the public for the sake of peace)). theres a lot of lying going on, too, and Dr Derek here came to the island believing those lies. however, after meeting Sync ((who, earlier in the plot, was one of the island security's assassins)) he learns of the island's cruel truths. Sync's life, while working as an assassin on the island, was rather harsh and cruel physically, though it messed with his head a lot, too. and on top of everything else, Ion appears on the island ((okay thats a LOOOONG story in this AU for that since there are no replicas in this universe so... Sync and Ion are actually 14 here)). upon frequent visits to Derek at the Utopia hospital, Sync and Derek get closer and closer with mutual respect. Derek starts to figure out that Sync could be in real trouble ((long story AGAIN)), so he wants to help the boy get out of his bad situation ((because he likes helping people)). this eventually leads to some pretty crazy awesome fun RP-ing with lots of action and emotion and plot, and later, Derek manages to free Sync from his harsh reality as an assassin, taking Sync under his own wing ((since Sync has nowhere to go)). even so, Sync's whole life was nothing but anger towards the Score, Order of Lorelei and Ion ((yes, all those things are in this AU but were changed slightly to fit the universe)) and the people in charge used his aggression to make him an assassin for several years, so he has much to overcome... but it doesnt seem so bad to him as he realizes someone really does care about him.

so... their story is kinda like a "what if" Sync could have been saved from his thoughts he had his whole existence. its kewl.

and Karol is a major character in this story. lol ;;>_>

BUT YEAH THAT WAS PROBABLY A HORRIBLE SUMMARY THAT MAKES NO SENSE. its really, really long Dx its a lot of words 8| obviously, since itd take a lot for any of this development to happen LOL. im tired and sick, too xD and i think i am hallucinating words on my screen that arent really there o___O;;

i think i might turn "Utopia" to an epic fanfic once the story is over, because i do love it that much. multifandom is amazing xD *RPs 4 different characters there ((Sync, Karol, Florian and Flynn)) +in charge of NPC villains* 8D

i like how this pic came out :3 it approaches the more surreal/psychological aspect of the story that i didnt mention in my summary ((Tekkon Kinkreet inspired a lot of the earlier part of the story and im freakin addicted to dream sequences and symbolism)).

the title is from a song by Assemblage 23 ((which is very cool)) and refers to how Sync is still very independent-minded, wanting to protect himself and fight for Derek using all his cool artes and powers, but Derek wants Sync to take a step back and let him play the role of adult and be the protector. the current plot arc really gets more involved with this since Karol wants to form a guild with Derek to overthrow Utopia to save the people who live there. Karol wants Sync to help fight and give intel ((since Sync used to work for the enemy)) but Derek is being protective and doesnt want to put Sync in harm's way anymore.

i keep imagining Sync like hes really small for some reason... even though Ion's stats ((which... should be pretty much the same as Sync's, which arent listed)) but apparently Ion is really really close to me in height and weight 8O so Sync probably is, too, and im not "small" =_=" or... i dont think i am ;;>_>
