=O-8O wanted to do speedpaintings tonight so i did one, too. we had a 2-hour time limit but i finished in 90 minutes lol shes still going on hers xD i wonder how itll look since shes never done it before o.O

anyways, as usual when i speedpaint, i never plan in my head what i want the end result to look like. i basically pick a color at random and wash it all over a blank canvas, then scribble with some random brushes of various shades of the original color and see what the scribbles remind me of. for this one, i started with a gray with a tint of green, then my scribbles looked like some kind of coastline. the color was perfect for a cold coastline, so i went with that theme. i even drew some bones (( to whoever knows what kind of animal those bones belonged to!)) that are pretty common on the coastline in my part of the world .

the scene ended up being something from my story, Silaurnginga Apocalyptica, in which Lightning Rod ((the large wolf in the image)) is with a hunting party to look for food. however, here in the cold, remote north, there is very little to eat.

Lightning Rod is one of my most underappreciated SA characters he is a very quiet kind of guy but hes the first to see that the pack is really in trouble due to their environment as well as internally ((the story is about the psychology of a self-destructing society)).

in the background, there is one of the abandoned human settlements that seem to be everywhere in the story. the humans are alive at the beginning, but... something wipes them out before they can escape the frozen north. what could it be??

i think its funny how a lot of my wolf pictures are profiles. i think i prefer the profiles over head on. more shape that way.
