just something ive had in my head for a little while and i decided to do a concept-style painting of it since im not in the mood for any big projects right now... i may redo this again as a polished piece in a few years or something because i do think the concept is cool. im not sure whats going on in the image... could be related to [link] ? i have had a secret mild obsession with war-time images lately. i just find the imagery to be fascinating and surreal *_* this image is no war in particular... drawn to Last Exile OST so idk. even though they arent any characters in particular or in any specific setting, i cant help but see personality in the guy on the left.
no, this is not a political piece of any kind. its just a concept painting of some fictional event not even i know anything about. something inside me wants to say its leading to the Battle of Armageddon in an alter reality since theyre obviously not "modern" soldiers. its not my best piece ever, but i like it. yeah, and i have noooooo idea what to have for keywords lol sorry im so obsessed with speedpainting lately... ill get to real paintings again soon maybe. |

The lighting is fabulous. I assume that the sunlight behind streaming through the soldiers was what inspired this? At any rate it's definitely the dominant element, so if that was your inspiration you've expressed the concept very well.
