HAHAHAHA i told ya id finish before the due date

entry for =Blue-Storm-Spirit's contest xD OMG ive never changed my mind about a contest entry before... started with a game-card style picture with Blue Storm/water vs Pihanex/fire. after that, some manga-style image. then some other stuff... and every time i loved sketching Pihanex's hair, ya know?

anyways, i finally decided on this because i was in the mood to do a landscape background. originally, they were going to be tied together by a chain with a lock, but it covered up the reflection in the water D: and i liked the water better than the chain... and the chain seemed out of place anyways.

the contest was to make a guess at how Blue Storm (wolf on left) and Pihanex (on the right) are related. i had a few weird ideas about it, including one where theyre actually the same xD (picture would have been Blue Storm near a river and her reflection would be Pihanex) then i had one where Pihanex was some dark spirit created somehow from Blue Storm. i never figured out any details on that one . finally, i just decided the most reasonable relationship is that theyre half-sisters or maybe full sisters. since Pihanex is the evil one, im guessing shes the younger of the two >D and Blue Storm got some benefit of being the oldest, such as some power or something. Pihanex is envious D: and wants the power for herself ((this is all just a WILD guess lol)). Blue Storm has accepted her fate and responsibility in having that power, while Pihanex hasnt accepted her fate to not obtain it

im probably way off xD but oh well.

about the picture itself... i tried two different fur techniques so which one do you like better? the one on Blue Storm or the one on Pihanex? i kinda like the fur on Blue Storm better. it seems more natural to me. overall, my favorite thing about the whole picture is the background 8D that sure came out nice.

time taken: about 8 hours is my guess (not including the pictures i never finished xD)
