Vampiress and Silence somehow had managed to escape the clutches of the humans and their pitfights...
days went on, and Vampiress could not hold her aggression in any longer. the humans' treatment towards her had changed her forever, and she would always be the abusive sister she had been.
freedom from the humans couldnt even change her.
she had to take her aggression out on something... too many days without a good fight!
the only one near her was her brother, Silence...

this drawing took me way too long, but i finally finished it! this is my contest entry for 's contest where i had to tell a story using at least one of her furrecat characters and use picture(s) to tell it. i decided to do one where Vampiress and Silence somehow escaped their cage and managed to get away from humans and the pitfights. but Vampiress, a character who is a viscious killer, still feels the need to fight, even though they were far away from the pits. fighting was something that became too much of a part of her to change. her brother, Silence, knows nothing else but to follow his sister and sees nothing wrong in letting her beat him.
the title refers to the fact that no matter where Silence goes, as long as he is with Vampiress, he has no freedom.

my drawing has lots of symbolism, since Vampiress and Silence are very well made symbolic characters. at the bottom, Vampiress and Silence hold onto each other, but Silence is gentle towards her even though she is abusive towards him. the pattern in the stars is Vampiress with blood coming from her mouth. it is actually Silence's blood and the stars in it represent any hope Silence has inside of him being ripped out and taken from him every time Vampiress causes him pain. the blue stars and supernova in the upper right represent Silence's freedom and hope, but Silence has his back turned towards it, since he will never see freedom or feel hope.

i think this may be my best work so far, so please comment and be generous about what you say. i put a lot of time into this .
